Rich and decadent - La Esperanza reminds us of Marzipan and Fruit mince with a coating mouthfeel.

About the producer

Esmerita Vásquez's farm - La Esperanza - is a 50 minute walk from the town centre of La Coipa. More often than not, mules are used in the transport of coffee to and from the farm.

Esmerita Vásquez is a member of Alpes Andinos - a producer-driven and focussed association based in La Coipa, Peru.

While not certified, farms in the Alpes Andinos primarily use organic fertilisers to enrich their crops while managing input costs.

La Esperanza uses a mix of compost and guano de las Islas (lit. guano from the Islands) - excrement from sourced from sea birds off the coast of Peru. This Guano is extremely high in nutrients making it ideal for upkeep of the coffee trees.
